Strategic Plan Unveiled
In March and April this year, Team Mahaska embarked
on a series of neighborhood meetings in an effort to identify county-wide
issues and concerns within the Mahaska Community. Residents from
all over the county attended one or more of 13 meetings held throughout
the county. This was a first step in putting together a plan of
action to improve the quality of life for the county’s 22,000
citizens. Those in attendance were asked, “What can be done
to improve Mahaska County and its various neighborhoods? What are
the issues facing the Mahaska Community? Who should be involved
in addressing those issues?”
Based on feedback and answers to those questions
as well as continued discussion since those meetings, Team Mahaska
compiled a STRATEGIC
